Outback America is bringing the reconciliation and restoration of relationships to Southern California and Your Help is Needed!

Southern California Outback America Weekend - Fall 2009
October 2 - 4

We are so excited that the message of Outback America is spreading to southern California as our friends there are hosting their first Outback America Weekend this fall at Idyllwild Pines Camp in Idyllwild, CA.

How can you help?

Come, Teach, Mentor, Serve

It’s not easy starting an Outback America weekend from the ground up – especially in a new area that hasn’t experienced the program. As part of the Outback America family you can help our new family members in California. If you have plans or can make plans to be in the southern California area during the October 2 - 4 weekend, we encourage you to volunteer and share your Outback experience with our newest city. You can help them catch and spread what we call the Outback America and JH Ranch "DNA." Remember what Bruce Johnston says: Outback America and the JH Ranch aren’t taught – they’re caught!

For more information, please call the Outback America office at 205.344.6578. On-site housing is available.

Your Involvement is Needed Now and Throughout the Year

We know it’s a long way and if you can’t actually be there, there are so many other ways that you can be involved. Take a look and find the one that's right for you.

  1. Prayer, Prayer and More Prayer – God tells us to go boldly before His throne with our prayers and petitions. He also promises us that He will hear our prayers and He does! Please pray for the Outback America ministry and for the Southern California Outback America weekend.

Specifically, here are a few areas you can lift up as a sweet aroma to the Father: The finances for Southern California that they will have the provision they need for the weekend. That their camper list will be full and that God will nudge those He wants to attend to go ahead and register. Please pray for the harvest of laborers - the staff and volunteers needed for the weekend. The growth in Southern California that the word of the ministry and teachings of Outback America would spread through southern California like a wild fire.
  2. Serve on Staff - Consider serving on staff during any of the Fall 2009 Outback America weekends. Registration is easy online. Your help for part or all of an Outback weekend is very important.
  3. Sponsor a Camper - Pray for the Lord to show you a camper pair (husband/wife or parent/teen) that you can sponsor/invite to a Fall 2009 weekend. A sponsorship to an Outback America weekend makes a great gift for your friends and family members.
  4. Be a coach! All cities struggle to get the coaches needed for a weekend. If you would like to be a coach, when you complete your staff registration form online check the box – Yes, I Would Like to be a Coach! The Coaches Team Leader will be in touch!
  5. Financial support is always needed. As the Southern California Outback America groups get started and have their first weekend the associated expenses can be huge. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to this weekend.
